Incumbent is responsible for ensuring that employee identification cards are initiated and or renewed in the US Access System. Utilizes various databases in order to retrieve information. Incumbent makes corrections to employee records to ensure accurate information is contained to enable registration and to ensure ID cards do not expire. Ensures cards are kept up-to-date and issued appropriately. Serves as liaison contact for the resolution of regular and recurring issues such as password resets and user registration/set up as well as other minor problems. Participates in the development and implementation of Information Systems program activities. Performs assignments involving the gathering of data, analysis, and development of inquiries or request. Uses computer systems to prepare a variety of materials, e.g. data calls, correspondence, reports, charts, statistical tables, and manuals. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
(OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for One-Grade Interval Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-0303). GS-6:
I have at least 1 year of full-time specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-5 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Specialized experience consists of utilizing a database system to research, retrieve and gather information needed to ensure that all employee identification cards are in accordance with the departmental policy as follows:
retrieve and maintain confidentiality of records to ensure accurate information is contained on the ID cards to enable registration and ensure they are current and not expired; verifying identity and ensuring proper identification documents to issue a valid ID card; assist management with various administrative operational duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing correspondence, receive telephone calls and visitors; familiar and worked with multiple database, payroll, reporting systems. Teams with Security Point of Contact (SPOC) serving as liaison for resolution of recurring issues keeping SPOC updated of any new or recurring issues or problems; participates with SPOC in the development and implementation of Information System program activities to assure goals and objectives are accomplished effectively, efficiently and in compliance with standards of program; independently performs assignments regarding the technical and routine administrative work in the program. PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT:
In addition to meeting the experience or education requirements, applicants must show possession of typing and office automation skills. Applicants may meet the typing requirement by passing the appropriate test, presenting a certificate of proficiency from a school or other organization authorized to issue such certificate by the Office of Personnel Management local office or by self-certifying their proficiency. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date. Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act of 1934 (title 25, USC Section 472). Additional selections may be made from this announcement if identical vacancies occur in the same location within 90 days from the closing date.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
